Global Warming

Few people now question the reality of global warming and its effects on the world's climate. Many scientists (1) put the blame for recent natural disasters on the increase (2) in the world's temperatures and are convinced that, more than (3) ever before, the Earth is at (4) risk from the forces of the wind, rain and sun. (5) According to them, global warming is making extreme weather events, (6) such as hurricanes and droughts, even more (7) severe and causing sea levels all around the world to (8) rise.

Environmental groups are putting (9) pressure on governments to take action to reduce the (10) amount of carbon dioxide which is given (11) off by factories and power plants, thus attacking the problem at its source. 全球變暖

現(xiàn)在很少有人質(zhì)疑全球變暖的現(xiàn)實(shí)及其對世界氣候的影響。許多科學(xué)家把全球氣溫上升歸咎于最近的自然災(zāi)害，他們確信，地球現(xiàn)在比以往任何時(shí)候都更受到風(fēng)、雨和太陽這些力量的威脅。據(jù)他們說，全球變暖制造了極端天氣事件，例如颶風(fēng)、干旱，甚至更為嚴(yán)重的以至于世界各地的海平面上升。

然而，還有一些科學(xué)家，他們相信即使明天我們不再排放二氧化碳和其他氣體到大氣層中，我們也將不得不等待幾百年才能得到結(jié)果。全球變暖似乎要在這里停留。
